The Dunelm Black Friday sale kicks off today (Wednesday, November 20), with bumper savings on furniture, homeware and kitchen gadgets. One of the most popular deals you’ll find online is the Nespresso Vertuo Pop by Magimix Coffee Machine - and it’s already flying off the shelves. 

Originally priced at £100, the device is on sale from £55 - a saving of £45. The yellow machine is on sale for £55, and the all-black version is on offer for £60. There was also a blue option but this has already sold out. 

The coffee machine has four cup sizes, including mug, gran lungo, double espresso and espresso. It has a one-button function because the machine reads the barcode on each capsule for the correct brewing instructions. 

Its coffee options include: ristretto, lungo, americano, doppio, caramel latte macchiato, and espresso. There’s also a hot water option, but disappointingly, there isn't a hot chocolate option. 

Over in the reviews - which were all collected as part of a promotion - one shopper said: “Little machine with big results. Sleek design will fit in any kitchen.

“Simple to use, instructions on the app which make it easy to refer to, not hunting for a lost paper manual! Large selection of pods. This is far superior to my previous make of coffee machine.”

A second wrote: “Very nice coffee machine. I love coffee, especially espresso, so this is just perfect for me. It's very easy to use. Coffee comes out much better than from the coffee shop, so it’s a huge saving and definitely better quality. 

“Plenty of capsules to choose from. Very easy to clean and not that noisy like some other brands. If you love a perfect cup of coffee which tastes and smells amazing I highly recommend it.”

A third added: “For someone who loves great coffee made quickly, this is a perfect little machine! It’s slim fitting so doesn’t take up too much counter space - a must for me. Easy to set up and use, very happy with this - and my family enjoyed the coffee too!”

A fourth shopper liked the machine but said they’ve found it hard to find inexpensive alternative pods. They explained: “First time using a coffee machine such as this and we’ve really enjoyed it. 

“It’s simple to use and looks lovely and stylish on my kitchen counter. The machine looks sleek and so far I’ve had no issues with it. The coffee comes out great, and it’s fairly simple to clean. 

“The biggest downside for me is that I’m yet to find compatible pods and the Nespresso ones are quite pricy, so just bear that mind. It’s a good piece of kit for the price, but not sure it’ll change our daily coffee habits due to cost.”

The machine is also available on Amazon, where one buyer left a one-star review reading: "Product was fine although the pods are very expensive. However I am very disappointed as the offer comes with 50 capsules.

"After registering my device and sending receipts etc off, Nespresso have simply ignored me. I will be returning my machine."

Other stand-out options in the Dunelm Black Friday sale include a 2-Tier Heated Airer reduced to £49, which was £75. It has an estimated running cost of 5p an hour, and is suitable for 10kg of washing. 

We also really like this inky blue Vivian Velvet Chair, on sale for £103.20, originally £129. The cushioned accent chair has a scallop design and metallic gold legs. 

Alternatively, you can buy a Tassimo pod coffee machine at Currys for £44.99. Originally priced at £127.99, the device has been reduced by an impressive £83 as part of the Currys Black Friday sale. 

Elsewhere, Lakeland has also launched its Black Friday bonanza, with reductions including this own-brand Dual Basket Air Fryer. The 8L capacity air fryer is on sale for £64.99, down from £89.99.
