Tesco recalls popular dip and urges Britons ‘do not eat’ it amid salmonella contamination

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) have issued the food recall on behalf of the supermarket retailer.

Tesco is recalling Tesco Tzatziki Dip because salmonella has been found in the product.

The supermarket said the presence of salmonella was found during routine testing.

Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

The supermarket said: “If you have purchased any of the affected date codes of the above product, please do not eat it.”

Product batch affected:

Tesco Tzatziki Dip 200g

Use by date: November 24, 2024

Tesco added: “Instead, return the item to any Tesco store for a full refund, no receipt is required.”

Tesco reassured customers that no other supermarket products were affected by this issue.

In other food recall news, Aldi recently recalled its Let’s Party Vegetable Bao Buns because they contain sesame and duck, which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.

Pack size: Eight pack

Best before: All date codes

Customers are urged to take the product back to their nearest store for a full refund.
