The Galaxy S24 just got far more affordable thanks to Sky's Black Friday deal

Samsung's Galaxy S24 is, without doubt, one of the best Android phones of the year but owning this flagship isn't exactly a bargain. A quick trip to Samsung's UK store and you'll find the S24 starts from a pretty hefty £799 and that doesn't include any minutes, texts or mobile data (you have pay extra for that!). It's a high cost to pay in one lump sum, but Sky Mobile has a way to make things feel a lot more affordable.

The UK network has just slashed the price of this flagship call maker down from £28 per month to just £21 per month.

That price is for the phone only, but over the 36 month contract it works out at £756 which is more than £40 cheaper than buying directly from Samsung. To make things seem even more attractive, there is also money off calls and data bundles for the first six month with prices starting from £0 for 100MB.

That low data is clearly no good if you want to watch movies on the move but other deals that are available include 5GB for £5, 50GB for £10 or Unlimited for £25.

If you don't fancy taking out a 36-month contract then there is another tempting deal from Mobiles.co.uk. The retailer has the S24 with unlimited data with iD Mobile, the network owned by Currys that runs on the Vodafone network. This great deal also gets you unlimited calls and data for £26.99 per month with a one-off £79 payment for the handset. Over a shorter 24-month contract, this will in total cost you £726.76 - more than £70 less than the cost of the phone direct from Samsung, plus an amazing two-year unlimited data deal

So, should you buy the S24 and is there any reason not to invest?

As you can read in our full Galaxy S24 review, the S24 is one of the best Android devices of 2024.

It comes packed with a glorious 6.1-inch screen, decent battery life and fast processor. An impressive triple-lens camera system sits neatly on the rear case and it's powered by Galaxy AI which offers users a swathe of smart features.

Perhaps the only reason not to buy one is the fact that the Galaxy S25 could be launching soon. Samsung has already confirmed the name and has said to expect this upgraded device at the start of 2025.

In a earnings presentation, Samsung said: “Based on the advancement of Galaxy AI, MX plans to promote flagship-oriented sales growth and profitability improvement such as Galaxy S25 series and foldable, while also expanding sales of ecosystem products such as Galaxy Tab, Book and Wearable.”
