‘We tried Champagne and sparkling wine with a £12 bottle near perfect'

Christmas is a time when shoppers like to splurge out and treat themselves to a bottle. Whether it is on Christmas or on New Year’s Eve there is always a reason to celebrate.

While some people tend to go for the pricier option of Champagne, there are also some great choices when it comes to sparkling wine.

To put this to the test, we blind-tasted some champagne and sparkling wines from a range of brands. The bottles all ranged from £8.99 to £52 and are easily available to buy from supermarkets or online.

We then ranked each item out of 10 to determine the winner. One item clearly stood out as the winner and costs just under £15. We drank responsiblity and taste tested the products over a few weeks for the article.

Here are the results in no particular order.
