How to clean oven glass door properly in less than 10 minutes - 59p easiest method

will most likely be on the list of as the Easter weekend draws to a close.

When cooking a roast dinner, oils and juices from the meat can splatter all over the glass and the longer it is left, the harder the stains will be to remove.

To effectively your oven glass door, even when it is “extra dirty”, Hannah Watson, who goes by @the_crestmoor on Instagram, has shared her “easiest” method.

She captioned the oven cleaning video: “The absolute easiest way to clean your oven door.

“This whole process takes me less than 10 minutes and it works perfectly every time.”

Hannah started by sprinkling a decent amount of over her dirty oven glass door and pouring hot, not boiling, water over the top.

She then grabs some tin foil and scrunches it up into a ball before using it to gently scrub the glass clean, which takes her only a few seconds.

Hannah then uses a microfibre cloth to rinse and wipe down the glass before revealing a sparkling and streak-free oven glass door.

For “extra dirty glass” Hannah recommended: “Let the baking soda paste sit for 10 minutes after scrubbing and scrub again before wiping."

Cleaning experts at Arm and Hammer also recommend using this natural cleaning product to tackle a dirty oven. They said: “Baking soda is non-toxic, inexpensive, easy-to-use, and remarkably effective on cleaning oven grease.

“Baking soda is alkaline, and oven grease made of food particles is typically acidic. Baking soda neutralises acids and breaks down the grease, allowing you to wipe it up without a lot of elbow grease.”

It’s also a mild abrasive, so it works well at removing dried, stuck-on foods. You don’t have to turn your oven on, and you can use it immediately after cleaning with baking soda.

Baking soda can be picked up from all local supermarkets, but it retails for less at Morrisons at just 59p.

Taking to the comments section, one Instagram user asked if tin foil was ok to use on oven glass or if it would scratch it.

Hannah replied: “It doesn’t. I was scared the first time I did it too and it doesn’t. Just apply medium pressure.”

Others raved about how well this tip worked when they tested it out for themselves. One said: “Total game-changer. Mine was absolutely filthy before.”

Another said: “Genius! I need to try this.” A third commented: “Just tried it - amazing.”
