'Neighbours keep parking opposite our drive – wife got petty revenge' | Weird | NewsA man has praised his wife for getting revenge on their entitled neighbour who keeps parking their car opposite their driveway. He explained how their neighbour made a habit of parking directly across the road from the opening of their drive, making it difficult for him to maneuver around it to leave every morning. As it isn't illegal to park over the road from a person's driveway, he didn't say anything about it to the neighbour. He instead complained to his wife about the inconvenience it causes him and left it at that. But after thinking about his words, his wife decided to give them a taste of their own medicine to see how they like it. He said on Reddit: "I complained to my wife how the neighbour across the street parks his truck directly across from our driveway, even though there is plenty of room in his driveway. "Not a big deal, just annoying to try to maneuver in and out of the driveway with it parked like that since our neighbourhood has narrow streets. But hey, there is nothing illegal or immoral about parking there, so just have to accept it. "Well we made the move this weekend and I had a truck in the driveway unloading stuff, therefore my wife had to park on the street. She purposely parked directly in front of their driveway out of spite. She had never dealt with having to pull in and out of the driveway with the truck parked across the street yet, so that bit of petty revenge was just for me. She made me so proud. Felt good to see the neighbour awkwardly try to back out of their driveway while trying to avoid our car." Commenting on his post, one user said: "My old neighbour would park in front of his house but like right up to my driveway so it was harder for us back out. I let it slide for a few weeks but he wouldn’t move the at all so I had city come tell him…every 3 days after he parked there again. Eventually he got a ticket and stopped(5foot distance from driveway ordinance)." While another added: "I have neighbours that do this too. Joke’s on you, have fun watching me back out of my driveway and get 2 cm away from your car every time, I guess." A third user said: "My kids do this to the neighbours. I told my kids I had given the neighbours permission to back into them, I lied. Doesn't happen very often now. I'm sure the neighbours appreciate it." Source link Posted: 2024-11-12 16:59:38 |
