'Kind' dog looking for forever home after being rescued from streets | World | News

A cute stray dog who brought presents to a man every day is now up for adoption after some hard work from Happy Doggo.

The team had set out to feed a few stray dogs in the streets of Thailand but has since boomed into an adoption centre for finding, helping and uniting once stray dogs with families.

Their latest pup, Snickers, is now ready for adoption and has delighted members of the public already.

Niall Harbison of Happy Doggo took to Twitter/X and shared the great news of Snickers' adoption process with followers, revealing it was "the best day of her life".

He wrote: "A big update on little Snickers the street dog who used to bring me a present every day as a way of saying thanks for the food and care.

"She said today was the best day of her life and that was even before she got the big news… She was so kind on the streets with her daily gift like this coconut. I’ve watched her become super secure and make the transition to more of a pet than a street dog in the last 3 weeks since she came in to our rescue."

Neil then revealed he took Snickers to the beach for the first time, saying the dog "enjoyed her freedom and her new life".

After their trip to the beach, the news got better for the pup, who was revealed to be up for adoption after a clean bill of medical tests. He added: "Snickers is now up for adoption. We checked all her medical tests. Made sure she will be ok in a home and got all her details in order."

The one-year-old pup was described as a "friendly, people-loving" dog who "shines through in every visit".

A description of Snickers revealed the sort of presents she would bring Neil, reading: "This sweet, gentle soul lived her life on the streets but never missed a chance to show us her love. She was on our regular feeding route and we watched her grow up. Each time we went to feed her, Snickers would bring us gifts she’d found – a leaf, a plastic bag, a toy bulldozer."

Dogs from Happy Doggo can be sent to the United States, United Kingdom and European Union and would do well in a "home with no kids".

Happy Doggo added the costs could be considerable, revealing: " To adopt a dog from Thailand, the approximate costs are between USD $2,000-$3,500. This could fluctuate slightly depending on the destination, the weight of the dog, and the airline; however, we will always be 100% transparent with the costs and would let you know immediately should any changes need to be made."
