Timothée Chalamet's 'saddest film' is now streaming for free | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Timothée Chalamet's breakthrough leading role is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and it's sure to have viewers reaching for their tissues.

The historical drama earned Chalamet his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor, along with BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.

Wonka's leading man also bagged the Gotham Award for Breakthrough Actor and Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards.

Moreover, the film itself received four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and won Best Adapted Screenplay.

Since its 2018 release, Call Me By Your Name has had cinema enthusiasts weeping due to Chalamet's poignant portrayal of 17-year-old Elio Perlman, reports the Mirror.

He has since secured significant roles in the Dune series as Paul Atreides and the acclaimed films Little Women and Bones and All. However, this masterpiece may still be one of his most memorable roles.

The tale of young love continues to emotionally devastate fans to this day, making it a must-watch for subscribers looking for a tearjerker.

One fan confessed on X (formerly Twitter) that they were "in a puddle of tears after Call Me By Your Name.

"What a disarmingly nice and unbelievably hot movie. This will linger for awhile."

Another ardent fan wrote: "call me by your name is that kind of movie that makes you laugh, smile but also cry all of your tears.

"It's that movie that breaks your heart and leaves you with that huge emptiness inside you. It's that movie that teaches you about life, about how love truly is in every aspect."

One fan confessed on Reddit that they "cannot stop sobbing" even two weeks after their first viewing.

"I cannot stop crying or thinking about it," they penned. "It is impossible.

"It is different than every other sad romance movie because it is so raw and genuine. So real. Does anyone know how long it takes to get over this?"

On the film social media platform Letterboxd, a five-star review read: "A cinematic tour de force.

"An impassioned, moving, heart-racing, heart-breaking film that reminded me how good it can feel to be alive. Watching this made me fall back in love with movies and with life."

Another viewer shared: "Watching this in a theatre full of older gay couples was nothing short of a religious experience, we all cried."

Call Me By Your Name is available to stream on Prime Video.
