Sainsbury’s recalls popular crisps and urges customers ‘not to consume'




Sainsbury’s is recalling its Sainsbury’s Onion Rings because of undeclared allergens.

The crisps contain milk, soya and wheat (gluten) which are not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

This product is also not suitable for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten.

Sainsbury’s has urged customers who have purchased the crisps to return them.

Best before: February 8, 2025

Sainsbury’s said: “We are asking customers that have purchased the above products not to consume them and return them to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Aldi apologised for the inconvenience and asked customers to return the product to their nearest store.
