Remove burn marks from a cooker using 1 simple item - not oven cleaner

The thought of cleaning the home can leave some feeling overwhelmed, especially if it is a stain or mark that is too stubborn to remove.

One user, called wiconv, on the online forum Reddit asked for help in removing marks from their cooker, in a thread titled: "Please help! Electric stove top gas impossible to remove burn marks."

The user shared two photos of the stove top with large rings around the hotplate.

The post started: "So far I've tried dawn dish soap, scrubbing, leaving Weiman glass cooktop overnight, nothing does the trick!

"Tried a razor as well at one point, but it wasn't really scraping anything up. Any suggestions are welcome!"

People took to the thread to share their advice with one person writing: "A razor will work. Try again. Don’t be afraid."

To which Wiconv replied: "I know this is the standard advice but I have never gotten this to work. Even with stove top cleaner."

The user suggested that Wiconv should keep "changing the angle" and use a sharp blade to get rid of the burn marks.

Wiconv added: "I’m very ready to believe it’s user error on my part but I’ve really given some elbow grease to it and made no material impact. Maybe mine was just completely seared in idk."

While another agreed with Wiconv and said: "No I’ve had the same experience, people swear by it but I’ve tried and tried."

Meanwhile, a user suggested a different technique with the razor and said: "It's going to sound silly but was you using the blade which was removed and not like a whole razor like in the handle?"

Other users of the post suggested other products with one person commenting: "I got the scrub daddy scrub mommy paste. Works amazing."

Another said: "I use a wet pumice stone and gently scrub in circles. It has never failed me. No worry about chemical smells and zero elbow grease is required. Try in one spot and see if it works out."

A third suggested: "Coca-cola and baking soda mixed. Works wonder." Finally, a user said: "Wool soap helps me clean it off."
