Dermot O’Leary’s quiet life in North London village where homes average £1.5million




Dermot O’Leary became famous through his work in television and radio, presenting shows like The X Factor, This Morning, and Big Brother’s Little Brother.

He has also presented live from royal weddings and hosted the National Television Awards, BAFTAs and the Brits.

His work throughout the years has helped him to gain a huge net worth of $12million (£9.1million).

According to reports, Dermot and his wife Dee reside in the stunning area of Primrose Hill in London.

The couple married back in 2012 and welcomed a son who was born in June 2020.

Primrose Hill is home to many celebrity residents and became increasingly sought-after and affluent in the 1960s.

The area is full of independent cafes, boutiques, and restaurants as well as huge Victorian-style homes.

At the summit of the grassy hill in the area are some spectacular views across London.

Visitors can also see The Regent’s Park and the ZSL London Zoo which separates the two parks.

However, living in the capital doesn’t come cheap, with the overall average house price of £1,523,958 over the last year, according to Rightmove.

The majority of sales in Primrose Hill during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of £937,959.

Terraced properties sold for an average of £2,831,071, whilst detached properties fetched £12,190,000.

Overall, sold prices in Primrose Hill over the last year were 13 percent down on the previous year and 22 percent down on the 2019 peak of £1,948,823.

Past and present residents of Primrose Hill include Chris Martin, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris and Rita Ora.

Rita Ora lives in a Grade-II listed home in the area which was built in 1877 and once home to illustrator Arthur Rackham.

There are a variety of properties in the area, including large mansions with lots of history as well as flats.

At the time of writing, there are 248 properties for sale in Primrose Hill, with the most expensive on the market for £30,000,000.
