Free Sky TV stream alert issued to UK homes - 24-hour countdown confirmed

Sky has been running a free streaming deal for a number of weeks but it's finally coming to an end tomorrow, September 25. That means there are only a few hours left to sign up and take advantage of this blockbuster offer which even includes access to Netflix as well. The freebie features one of Sky's new Stream boxes which uses the web to beam live and on-demand shows and movies to the big screen. SEE THE DEAL HERE

This device, which can be DIY installed, also offers easy access to apps such as Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+ and it provides personalised recommendations to help you find things to watch. Other features include a backlit remote control, a Playlists function which stores your favourite content and there's a full TV guide so you can see what is now and next.

Now, you might be thinking Sky can't possibly give away TV for free. The deal is real but it does come with a catch as the freebie only lasts for one month.

After that, you'll need to pay with two options then available. If you don't fancy signing up for a long-term contract you can opt for a monthly plan which starts from £31 per month. Those happy to sign on the dotted line for two years will get access to Sky Stream for £28 per month.

Both of these prices are for standard plans and things will get more expensive once you start adding movies, sports or Ultra HD viewing.
