Wetherspoon announces new autumn menu with prices starting from £1.79

Those who are a fan of Wetherspoon will be pleased to hear that the British pub chain has announced a new autumn menu.

Wetherspoons, which have more than 700 pubs across the UK and Ireland, will able to enjoy a pint of beer from £1.79.

The new menu, which was updated on September 18, will also include a pint of Ruddles Best and Bell’s whisky (single measure, inclusive of mixer) for £1.79.

There are also five other products on offer including Bud Light lager, Worthington’s Creamflow ale, Stowford Press Apple Cider, Au Vodka, and XIX Vodka (single measure, inclusive of the mixer) which will be available for £1.99.

And it isn't just drinks that are available on offer with Wetherspoons including two food deals.

It will see mix-and-match wings, bites and strips, with a choice of chicken wings (five spicy chicken wings), chicken bites (five battered chicken breast pieces), Southern-fried chicken strips (three chicken breast strips) and Quorn nuggets (five coated pieces) be available to enjoy.

They will cost £2.99 each, two for £5.49 and three for £7.49.

Two other meals have also been extended through autumn, including Sticky Korean fried chicken bowl (chicken strips, chicken breast bites, tossed in a Korean-style sauce, coriander, sliced chillies, served with a choice of chips or coconut-flavoured rice.

There is also a Sticky Korean fried Quorn ‘no chicken’ bowl, which features eight coated pieces.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: “Our pubs are known for offering excellent food and drink at great value-for-money prices.

“We believe a pint of Ruddles Best, as well as the other drink and food offer, represents fantastic value.”

Pricing may vary per pub. The offer does not apply to pubs in the Republic of Ireland. It comes as Wetherspoons opened a new pub called The Lion & The Unicorn in London's Waterloo Station earlier this month.

Meanwhile, The Grand Assembly in Marlow, Buckinghamshire is set to open on September 24.
