Heinz stops making shopper favourite - 'now selling online for £5.20 a tin' | UK | News

Heinz is a brand loved by many and is a firm favourite among both young and old.

And Britain's fascination with baked beans has seen the brand rise to popularity with most households having at least one Heinz product in their pantry.

The brand's clever use of marketing of baked beans as a go-to ready meal for busy folks put them in a league of their own.

Originally the baked beans recipe saw chunks of pork in the tin but during World War II pork was removed due to rationing and thus the iconic Heinz baked beans were developed.

Many fans of their products are now raging after one of its much-loved baked beans products are no more.

The organic range from Heinz, in particular their Heinz Organic Baked Beans, have been loved by many.

Lately, these products have been notably absent from most leading supermarkets begging the question, where have they gone?

Consumers felt so passionately about the struggle to get their hands on these products they were compelled to take to social media to get to the bottom of it.

One user wrote: “Out of curiosity, have the Organic Baked Beanz been withdrawn? No one selling them any more in Northern Ireland.

“Got all excited when I found them still listed on the website and told me I could buy them online, but no - not there either”.

The company has now confirmed they have discontinued Heinz Organic Baked Beanz after doing the same with Heinz Ploughman’s Pickle.

After various questions on X, a Heinz spokesperson simply replied that ‘this product has now been discontinued’.

The spokesperson added: “At Heinz we’re focused on innovating to meet changing culinary trends and tastes and sometimes that means making small changes to our portfolio. These are always considered with the consumer in mind."

The Heinz Organic Baked Beanz were a popular product thanks in part for being free from GMOs, pesticides and other chemicals.

Alongside Heinz’s Organic Baked Beanz and Ploughman’s Pickle, their Weight Watchers beans have also been discontinued.

Heinz is an American company and boasts a vast range of products including foods, condiments and sauces.
