Prince Harry's 'helpful' move prompts surprising response from Brits | Royal | NewsAlthough Prince Harry’s popularity has taken a sharp downturn in recent years since quitting the Royal Family in 2020, a new poll suggests that the British public aren’t fully against the idea of the prince returning back to royal duties. In an exclusive poll for The Mail, 34 per cent of people asked this month, according to Ipsos, would support the Duke of Sussex if he were to return to the UK and carry out royal duties. The newspaper implemented the poll after Mail on Sunday reporter Charlotte Griffith's article about Prince Harry's planned return to royal duties was widly ridiculed by the press and was even denied by the Duke of Sussex himself. One royal author has said that if Harry were to return it will be because he has not made anymore bombshell claims against the Royal Family this year and has instead focused on his work. Royal author Margaret Holder told The Daily Mail: "The fact Harry has not continued with the grievance industry is helpful. His work on Invictus is popular and his tours to Nigeria and Colombia may have played well with the public. “He has not apologised, at least not in public, and there will be some who never forget his attacks, but he does appear to be keeping on the straight and narrow."
