Everyone with a PS5 or PS4 urged to get ‘free money’ from Currys | Gaming | Entertainment

Anyone with a PS5 or PS4 can get ‘free money’ from Currys to spend on the PlayStation store while stocks last and put it towards big new releases like hit platformer Astro Bot.

Gaming is an expensive pastime and new releases can often cost as much as £69.99 on the PlayStation digital storefront - more for digital deluxe editions and day one premium packs.

Not to mention Robux, FIFA (EA FC) Ultimate Team packs and all the other ways you can spend money on microtransactions.

But right now, electrical giant Currys is offering PlayStation Store gift cards at 15 percent off.

That means you can buy a £100 card for £85, and instantly redeem the code on the PS5 or PS4 digital storefront. Although you’ve paid £85, the card will give you £100 to spend on the PlayStation store - meaning £15 is ‘free money’.

The deal would bring the cost of Astro Bot, today’s hot new release on the PlayStation store, down from £59.99 to £50.99, a saving of almost £10 on the cost of the game.

Once you’ve bought the card for £85, you’ll be emailed a link to open to get the 16-digit code. Just punch that into the PS5 or PS4 digital storefront and then you’ll get £100 credited to your account.

Other size cards are available. A £50 PSN gift card is only £42.50, and a £20 card is just £17.

To get the deal, click here and follow the instructions and use the code PLAY15 at the checkout.

For the time being, the cards can also be used to pay for PlayStation Plus, meaning you can get 15% off the price of a subscription too, bringing a year of PlayStation Plus Premium down from £119.99 to just £102.
