Reddit App and website not working as thousands of users report issues | UK | NewsReddit's UK users are currently facing a major disruption, with the popular app and website going down just days following a massive global outage. By 10.01pm on Wednesday, September 4, Downdetector had already logged a whopping 2,365 reports of outages, showcasing widespread chaos: 74% were distressed by the app failures, 21% bemoaned the desktop version woes, and a further 6% faced server connection nightmares. Social media platforms are buzzing with vexed comments from users unable to access the site. Over on Twitter, one user vented: "Who else came to Twitter see why Reddit is down ? ! " Another user was left puzzled, querying: "Is reddit down or something.." While a third noted: "I think all of Reddit is down. I can't access any community." Offering a hub for news and heated debates, Reddit lets its userbase submit, share and vote on content. When earlier this week Reddit took a dive globally, their officially recognised account on Twitter swiftly responded. Their tweet read: "The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented," following an alarm over "degraded performance." As of now, Reddit hasn't come forward with a formal explanation. The root cause of the downtime and its anticipated duration remain shrouded in mystery. Representatives from Reddit have yet to respond to our request for comment.
