Four hidden details in Princess Martha Louise's wedding dress | Royal | NewsPrincess Märtha Louise of Norway married Shaman Durek Verrett over the weekend, with details emerging about the ceremony which had some unusual details, including a no-social media rule and drink vouchers instead of an open bar. Despite this, the Princess did wed in style, wearing one of her favourite designers, Tina Steffenakk Hermansen, a brand she also wore to her pre-wedding party. The Norwegian royal had plenty of details in her wedding that were a sweet tribute to her loved ones. Her duchess satin gown was embroidered with white and gold flowers on the shoulders and hip and had an 11ft train. Her cathedral-length veil featured the couple's monogram. Märtha also opted for jewels that were a sweet homage to her family, namely a tiara that her grandfather King Olav V, who was reigning in Norway at the time, had given her for her 18th birthday. Princess Martha also wore a Garrard pearl and diamond tiara at her celebration banquet at the Royal Palace of Oslo. The bride wore a chiffon veil with a 3.5 metre-long train and the couple's unique monogram. The monogram is unofficial as Martha Louise is no longer a working member of the Norwegian Royal Family and does not represent the family at official events. Durek wore the same symbol on the cuffs of his dapper lace tuxedo styled with a golden cravat and cummerbund. Speaking about the crown, the Princess told Hello!, which had an exclusive insider look, that this was the "'something old' part of my wedding outfit". She added the 'new' element of the tradition was her bridal dress while the 'something blue' was Durek's special Quinterium symbol embroidered inside. Princess Martha had other hidden details at the wedding, wearing a bracelet to match the flowers adorned on her dress. As many brides with long trains can attest to, the fabric can often drag on the floor, so the royal wore a bustle loop attached to the skirt to avoid it from dragging on the floor. The happy couple had other details that may not have gone down as well, including a no-social media policy, given their Netflix deal. Guests were also made to fork out £2,300 (NOK 32,000) to attend the event. They were also given drinks vouchers at the reception held in Hotel Union in Geiranger instead of having an open bar. Guests were also encouraged to buy clothes from Princess Martha's clothing brand Hest!. Source link Posted: 2024-09-02 18:18:28 |
