Share your views on how disabled people are represented in the media | UK | News

Today, we’re launching our Represent the 24% survey to find out what you, our readers, think of disability representation in the media.

We’re launching our survey to coincide with the Paralympics and we’ll keep it running for the duration of the games. We want to know your thoughts on how society views and treats disabled people, how you feel they’re represented in the media, what sort of content you think we should be doing (and not doing), what you want more of, what you want less of, and anything else you’d like to tell us so that we can keep improving our content.

We’re doing this because we’re committed to properly and accurately representing all of the communities we serve - disabled people make up 24% of the UK population, so it’s important to us that our content, whether about them, by them, or supporting them, is useful and relevant.

We’re part of the UK’s largest digital news publishing company - Reach - and we’ll be asking readers right across the UK to help us make our content around disability better.

This survey demonstrates our ongoing commitment to drive forward disability inclusion in our business and our content. We’re also part of the Valuable 500, a global business partnership of 500 companies working together to end disability exclusion.

You can take part in the survey below - and please share it with your family and friends.
