Those heading to Parliament this morning are having to undergo manual checks causing delays getting into the building. Parliament is currently in recess. It adjourned on July 20 and will next sit on September 2. During this time, neither the Commons northe Lords meet to conduct business. This comes as Keir Starmer visits Berlin for meetings with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The prime minister said thenew co-operation treaty with Germany was part of a bid to "turn a corner on Brexit". Downing Street said the agreement would cover areas such as energy security, technology, defence and illegal migration.
