Passenger refuses to leave plane despite blood pouring down his face | US | News

A man and a woman were taken off a flight in handcuffs after refusing to leave, despite blood pouring from one of their heads after a cosmetic procedure. In the bizarre incident in Las Vegas, Eugenio Ernesto Hernandez-Garnier, 27, was arrested for refusing to leave an American Airlines flight despite bleeding from his head after an apparent hair transplant.

Hernandez-Garnier and his partner, 32-year-old Yusleydis Blanca Loyola, were on board a flight from Miami International Airport when the crew noticed his bloody condition. Miami-Dade police advised him to clean up and change the dressing on his wound, but he claimed he had no fresh bandages.

The situation escalated when flight staff, concerned about health risks and contamination, asked them to get off, but the couple refused, reportedly stating, "If they could not fly, no one else can either." Law enforcement had to step in, and both Hernandez-Garnier and Loyola were removed in handcuffs after refusing to get off the flight.

Adding to the drama, Loyola live-streamed the event on TikTok, passionately explaining in Spanish that her husband had just undergone surgery and was dealing with dried blood.

The other passengers were also asked to leave the aircraft due to the health scare. As the disruptive duo was escorted out, they were met with applause and cheers from fellow passengers, reports the Express US.

The standoff caused an overnight delay, with American Airlines confirming the flight eventually took off the following Tuesday morning.

After their bleeding warranted a hospital check-up, the duo found themselves behind bars at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami. Hernandez-Garnier and Loyola are now facing counts of trespassing after a warning and resisting an officer without violence.

A revealing mugshot of the man showed bandages gone and blood trickling down from his scalp fuelling speculations about him possibly having had a hair transplant recently. Meanwhile, Loyola's TikTok uploads suggest she also might have succumbed to the charm of cosmetic enhancements during their Florida stay.

Representatives from American Airlines told the Mirror, "During boarding of American Airlines flight 1858 on Aug. 19 with service from Miami (MIA) to Las Vegas (LAS), two customers became disruptive and were non-compliant with crewmember instructions."

Adding, "Law enforcement responded and removed both customers from the aircraft. We thank our crew members for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience."
