People really can take you by surprise. 

And just recently one stranger left a young mum-of-five amazed by his incredibly kind gesture. The truth is, gardening can be quite a pain for many people.

But one green-thumbed expert, who's based in the UK, recently delighted a woman and her young children with a tidy up. TikTok user @gardenyardzmowing1982 boasts 18,400 followers on the platform.

Now he recently went viral after posting a video showing him clean up a woman's garden. The caption read: "Thoughts? Council refused to help young mother with five children with her overgrown garden after she fled a dv marriage."

The one-minute video starts by a description which read: "All she wanted was a garden for her children to play out in." But the biggest surprise was that he completed it for free.

It showed an overgrown garden with stinging nettles and absolutely no safe place for the kids to play in. Then as the man gets to work, he revealed how fairly simple and satisfying it is to remove all the mess from the garden.

And what really got people talking was the fact he ended the clip by claiming he did the job for free. Now after his generous work, the garden appears to be more cleaner with a path leading out to the end of the space.

The post racked up over 5,500 likes and hundreds of comments after the man's kind gesture didn't go unnoticed. One said: "I really need this in my garden." While another added: "Good job!"

A third commented: "Amazing, well done you. Question about the nettles though, how do you stop them from growing back?"

To which the poster replied: "Either dig them out or get some strong weedkiller and make tea out of them which is super healthy."
