A man is battling for his life after being brutally stabbed at a massive UK reggae festival last night.

The knife horror took place around 8.50pm at Reggae Land Festival at Milton Keynes' iconic National Bowl venue, with Thames Valley Police describing the victim's condition as "critical".

Authorities have reassured festival-goers and the general public that this was a "targeted attack" and there is no wider risk to revellers.

A spokesperson for the police force stated: "We are investigating an assault at Reggae Land Festival at The National Bowl. A man was stabbed at about 8.50pm and was taken to hospital, where his condition is described [as] critical. We believe this was a targeted attack and there is no risk to festivalgoers or the wider public.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation; taking witness statements, carrying out forensic examinations and CCTV enquiries. Anyone with information, please speak to a police officer at the festival, call 101, or visit our website, quoting reference 20240726-1285."

The Reggae Land Festival, held over the weekend, was billed as a "massive celebration of Reggae Music and Caribbean Culture featuring a 100+ strong line up of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and Jungle".

Tickets for the Reggae Land festival were priced at £62 per day or £115 for the weekend, with top acts including 'Mr Loverman' singer Shabba Ranks and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell.

Authorities have appealed to anyone who attended the event to come forward with any information about the stabbing incident, reports the Mirror.
