Luckily, there's a cleaning hack which could help you tackle the problem – without any elbow grease. And it's using an item you probably have at home.

According to the experts at metals4u, applying car wax will help it stay cleaner for longer. That's because the wax polishes the metal and provides a water-resistant layer to prevent from scratching and rusting.

The gurus revealed the cleaning hack in light of one woman's YouTube clip where she shows how car wax can restore the shine of patio furniture.

YouTube star Kim on a Whim demonstrated the impressive difference this simple trick can make. Her caption read: "Let's see if this works. Restore patio furniture."

She starts by showing her patio table before tackling it with the stuff. She whips out some wax then gets to work.

Kim uses a cloth to deal with the furniture, as you can see in the clip, she's just wiping it with ease. Later on in the video, she shows how it made such a difference.

Since it was shared with her 1,000 subscribers, many fled to the comments section to share their opinion on the matter.
