Watch out Samsung - Amazon is selling smart Fire TVs at 'lowest price'

Samsung continues to dominate the TV market with its pin-sharp screens remaining the most popular on the planet. However, if you don't fancy paying premium prices for a new telly then Amazon has some very tempting offers this week. The online retailer is hosting another 48-hour Prime Day sale which kicks off from July 16. There's bound to be bargains galore but ahead of the main event there are already some massive deals to be bagged on its own-brand Fire TVs.

In fact, Amazon is promising that these latest discounts offer its 'lowest price ever' on the entry-level 2-Series which now starts from just £139.99.

For that money, you get a 32-inch 720p display that is powered by the popular Fire TV operating system. That means there's easy access to premium and free apps such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and Freevee. You'll also get Alexa built-in making it easy to control things, search for content and even switch off the display and lights in the room using just your voice.

Of course, this television doesn't offer stunning 1080p HD viewing or the ability to watch in 4K but there are more deals on Amazon's premium screens as well.

The firm's 4-Series UHD TVs now start from £249.99 and offer support for vivid 4K Ultra HD content along with technology such as HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Digital Plus.

The 4-series is available in 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch screen sizes. Want to know more? Read our full Fire TV 4-Series review

Finally, there's money off the Omni QLED range of Amazon tellies which offer 4K visuals along with an improved Quantum Dot Display.

This helps to make films, TV programmes and live sports pop in brighter, richer and more lifelike colours.

Adaptive Brightness also features and automatically optimises the brightness of content through a built-in sensor that detects the lighting in your room.

There is also the clever Fire TV Ambient Experience built in as well which turns your TV screen into a canvas for displaying over a thousand pieces of free artwork, personal photos, helpful Alexa widgets and more.

Prices start from just £299.99 (saving 45 percent).
