Only those with the sharpest eyesight can spot the Euro 2024 trophy | Weird | News

Brainteasers are a great way to stimulate the mind and give the brain some much-needed stimulation.

The three most common types of brainteasers are observational, analytical, and mathematic brainteasers. Observational brainteasers, such as the one above by Live Football Tickets, are brainteasers which ask the user to find within an image an anomaly or object.

Analytical brainteasers come in the form of written riddles which people have to interpret correctly to find the answer. Meanwhile, mathematical brainteasers come in the form of tricky maths-based puzzles which someone has to solve as quickly as possible.

The task in the brainteaser above is to find the Euro 2024 trophy as quickly as possible among the flags of the nations taking part.

Did you spot the trophy? No worries if not, the answer is circled above. The trophy can be found in the middle of one of the flags in the bottom right-hand corner of the brainteaser.

The key to solving this brainteaser was to scan the image carefully from left to right and top to bottom to identify the answer.

Brainteasers such as this one give the brain some gentle exercise in a fun way, just like a long walk or jogging does for the muscles in the legs.

This exercise could help contribute to maintaining neurological health and the healthier the mind is the less likely it might be to develop a neurodegenerative condition like dementia.

This doesn't mean that brainteasers can stop someone from developing dementia, other risk factors can have a much bigger impact, but they could help keep the mind sharper for longer.

Dementia is one of the most devastating conditions in the world, affecting millions of families every year. While it is currently incurable, progress is being made in developing new treatments and working out what people can do to reduce their risk.

According to a recent study published in the Journal of Nutrition, eating eggs could lower someone’s risk of developing the most common form of dementia, Alzheimer’s.

The study authors explained: “Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder with increasing prevalence due to population ageing. Eggs provide many nutrients important for brain health, including choline, omega-3 fatty acids, and lutein.

“Emerging evidence suggests that frequent egg consumption may improve cognitive performance on verbal tests, but whether consumption influences the risk of Alzheimer's dementia and AD is unknown.”
