Newport: School on lockdown as air ambulance and police rush to scene | UK | News




Gwent Police has confirmed that a girl has been taken to hospital.

A spokeswoman said the force received a report of a medical emergency at St Julian's High School, Newport at around 10.40am on Wednesday, June 5.

She added: "Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Welsh Air Ambulance.

"A 14-year-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment."

The spokeswoman did not provide details of the youngster's condition.
