And it's happened again! The latest revelation comes from a woman who discovered she's been grating cheese wrong all her life – and her eye-opening video has left scores of social media users in shock.

Tayla, known as @homewithtayx on social media, is famed for her lifestyle tips on cleaning and parenting. However, it was her recent video about cheese grating that really caught the attention of her followers.

In her popular video, which has racked up over 71,000 likes, Tayla confesses: "All my life I've been grating cheese like this."

The footage shows the 23-year-old using an upright cheese grater to grate light cheddar cheese, which she claims is incorrect.

She then demonstrates the 'correct' method by laying the grater on its side, explaining: "But apparently this is the right way. So much easier. And it gathers in the middle of the grater. So it's easier to transport your cheese."

She also expressed her astonishment in the video caption, asking: "23 years of living and I never knew this? ".

The cheese grating hack has left TikTok users astounded, with many rushing to the comments section to admit their own culinary faux pas.

One user exclaimed: "27 tomorrow and I never knew." Another lamented: "I'm convinced I'm not doing anything right."

However, some individuals admitted they couldn't be bothered to grate cheese themselves regardless. One viewer confessed: "And then there's me, who's too lazy to grate it and buys grated cheese from Asda."
