Cleaning expert shares how to get windows gleaming using 4p item

Tea bags, or more specifically black tea, can be used as a natural cleaning solution for your windows.

Of course, we all know that tea contains caffeine, but it also contains tannins. This molecule is the key chemical that is released from the tea bags and will help your glass shine.

All you have to do is save your used tea bags in an airtight tub throughout the week and pop them in the fridge until you have enough. This will ensure they stay fresh until you are ready to use them.

This is a fraction of the price of many leading window cleaning brands, not to mention that your tea spray will be biodegradable and compostable.

You might want to be cautious with delicate surfaces though, as black tea can stain.

Dean May, the owner of Southampton Gutters, said: “Not everyone can afford professional window cleaning services or expensive brands. That’s why we’re sharing this eco-friendly window cleaning spray that not only helps to keep more money in your pocket but is also kind on the environment. The best part is that you can make it from something you’d otherwise throw away.”
