Grand National LIVE: Two horses withdrawn as punters flock to Aintree for big race | Racing | Sport

Grand National day has arrived, and what a spectacle it is set to be. It is the one day of the year when the public eye shifts towards horse racing, and Aintree looks set to deliver a spectacular event once more to cap off.

Over 150,000 punters are expected to travel to watch the most coveted steeplechase in world racing, with over 600 million viewers predicted to tune in and cheer the 32-runner field on from home.

The Grand National is set to take place at 4pm this year, a revised time as part of several important changes made to the race for safety purposes, with Lucinda Russell’s Corach Rambler bidding to retain his crown with another victory in the 176th running of the 4m 2f chase.

With so much to look forward to, stay tuned as Express Sport keeps you up to date with all the latest from Aintree ahead of the big race…
