A beautiful seaside in the UK with a “peaceful” beach has selling for just £130k. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a popular coastal destination located in Northumberland, England. 

Situated on the North Sea coast of Northumberland, approximately 20 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne, it is a part of the picturesque Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The town offers stunning views of the North Sea and the expansive coastline. 

Visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas, including views of the rugged cliffs and sandy shores that characterise this part of the Northumberland coast.

This can make it an attractive option for first-time buyers, retirees, or those looking for a quieter seaside lifestyle without the high price tag.

According to Rightmove, properties in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea had an overall average price of £139,823 over the last year.

Most sales in Newbiggin-By-The-Sea during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £129,615. 

Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £134,500, with detached properties fetching £211,000.

Overall, sold prices in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea over the last year were 22 percent up on the previous year and 10 percent up on the 2021 peak of £126,823.

Meanwhile, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea has a rich history, and visitors to the beach can explore several historical landmarks in the area.

One notable attraction is the Couple sculpture, also known as "The Wannies," which stands at the eastern end of the promenade and commemorates the area's coal mining heritage.

The area also provides opportunities for a range of activities, including swimming, beachcombing, picnicking, and kite flying. The calm waters and gentle slopes make it suitable for swimming, although visitors should be aware of tidal conditions.

Most of the visitors who have been to the serene beach have termed it as "peaceful" while sharing reviews on TripAdvisor. 

One person wrote: "The beaches are lovely and clean, surfers were out for the spring tide, weather lovely. The little shops, cafes, lifeboat Station, and maritime museum are all worth a visit. Even the village is peaceful and there are a variety of places to eat/drink or get a takeaway. Not a lively seaside village but that's the way we like it."

A second user said: "We had a four-day holiday in Newbiggin-by-the sea on the Northumberland coast. We were very lucky with the weather sunny & no rain, as there wasn't much to do if it rained. 

“We had some lovely walks along the coast lovely prom very flat, beautiful beach. There is an excellent bus service with buses every half hour to Newcastle as well as other places. We definitely enjoyed our holiday.”

A third user said: “Visited for an evening walk on our way to our holiday cottage. A lovely peaceful place. There were hardly any other people around. Great statues throughout. Beach clean.”
