Luke Littler's angry gesture to Premier League Darts crowd after win | Other | Sport

Luke Littler angrily shushed a section of the Premier League Darts fans in Aberdeen seconds after securing a quarter-final win over Nathan Aspinall. The 17-year-old came out on top in the deciding frame but rather than celebrate a place in the semis, opted to take issue with those in attendance.

Shortly after taking out D10 for the win against his stablemate Aspinall, continuing his strong form in the Premier League, Littler raced over to the left side of the stage and shushed the fans with a stern look on his face.

Visibly upset at some of the chants aimed towards him, Littler had a swift change of emotions from the start of the match, having joined in with the fans singing his opponent's walk-on tune.

Littler did struggle to get over the line, having led 5-4 with the darts, but was taken to an 11th leg by Aspinall and missed the bullseye for the win after hitting three 140s against the throw.

But in celebration, Littler sprinted over to a select few members of the crowd to ask for silence, before then shaking hands with Aspinall after a thrilling contest.

Sky Sports claimed that Littler's outrage stemmed from some whistles coming from that side of the venue. The teen had also sarcastically applauded them earlier in the contest.
